It looks like Jon Jones is, once again, in process of getting his life around by returning to combat sports competition. Former UFC Lightheavyweight champion has announced on his Twitter account that he will participate in a grappling bout against Professional Wrestling superstar, Jake Hager. It will take place at Fury Grappling event on Devember 9th.

‘Breaking News!! I’m excited to announce I’ll be competing for the number one grappling organization in the world, Fury Grappling! December 9th I’ll be in New Jersey competing against WWE superstar and undefeated Bellator heavyweight Jack swagger’

Fury Grappling is a sister promotion to Cage Fury Fighting Championship, with both events aired on UFC Fight Pass. Hager participation is not the only Pro Wrestling accent in the whole situation, as CM Punk serves as a commentator for the events.

This is not the first Jones tenure into the world of submission grappling. He has 5 grappling bouts in his record, all won within the time limit. It will be his first bout since September when after the UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony he was arrested and charged with domestic battery and tampering with a vehicle.

Beside being active member of All Elite Wrestling roster, Jake Hager is also under contract with Bellator, where he stacked 3 fight winning streak with one other fight ending as a No Contest. As a former All-American collegiate wrestler at the University of Oklahoma he also has some mat experience.

The bout already seems to be on jeopardy, however, as Hager dismissed the match on Twitter.
