As we’ve informed earlier, Donald Cerrone will make his CJJ debut at December 19th event in Cancum, Mexico. It was announced that he will not be the only UFC veteran to step on Combat Jiu-Jitsu mat during CJJ Worlds 202. He will be joined by former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans.
‘Suga’ will have his hands full, as he will face current CJJ champion, Ryan Aitken, who mixes open palm strikes with his ground games very well.
🚨🔥 ¡Esto se prendió! El excampeón y miembro Salón de la Fama del UFC, Rashad Evans enfrentará al experto en wrestling, cinta negra en Jiu-jitsu y campeón en IBJJF, Ryan Aitken.

Evans himself is no stranger to the grappling aspect of the game, as he’s a BJJ black belt under Rolles Gracie, and he was also a Division 1 wrestler for Michigan State University. He has just the one win via submission in his MMA career in his very first professional fight back in April 2004. Interestingly, of his eight MMA losses, none came via submission.
Ryan Aitken has 4 – 1 record in grappling, with 3 submission wins. His only loss came outside of CJJ.
