Michal Materla Returns to KSW, Scheduled to Fight in January

It looks like Michał Materla found his way back to KSW, and will fight at the upcoming KSW 66 event that will be held on January 15th, 2022 in his hometown, Szczecin.

Materla left KSW to fight for the EFM Show promotion, which he has also owned. Finally, he fought once, at EFM Show 2, when he won over Mois Rimbone. The promotion had turned out to be a failure and the project was disbanded, leaving Materla as a free agent.

There were talks about both KSW and FEN willing to sign him and even the second promotion’s welterweight champion, Cezary Oleksiejczuk, has challenged him just after his title fight. According to KSW profile on Instagram Materla has decided to return to a promotion, where he has been welterweight champion.

Materla’s last fight in KSW was at KSW 56, when he fought the reigning welterweight champion, Roberto Soldic. Materla holds victories over such notable names as Damian Janikowski, Martin Zawada, Paulo Thiago, Rousimar Palhares, Tomasz Drwal, Jay Silva, Kendall Grove and Matt Horwich
