Road To ONE Continues At RUF 45: Winter Wars

RUF Nation, a regional mixed martial arts promotion from Phoenix, Arizona, will end their year on Saturday, December 18, with RUF 45: Winter Wars.

Road To ONE Continues At RUF 45

Leading the charge is a pair of quarterfinal bouts in the Road To ONE heavyweight tournament. The winner of Road to One will take home a six-figure contract with ONE Championship and be the next American representative on the roster.

But there will be plenty more to check out on the card while supporting the next generation of mixed martial artists.

Here are three reasons to check out RUF 45: Winter Wars and the Road To ONE heavyweight tournament.

Road to ONE

The biggest and best reason to catch the action at RUF 45: Winter Wars is the Road To ONE heavyweight tournament.

Headlining the action will be two quarterfinal contests in a tournament that has supplied nonstop action to date. Thus far, only one bout has gone to a decision, and that virtually ensures that fans will see a finish at Winter Wars.

The evening’s main event will be Cameron Chism-Brungard vs. Eduardo Perez, with the co-main event featuring a quarterfinal between Terrance Jean-Jacques and Michael Quintero.

As the Road to ONE continues, the search for the next great American heavyweight talent rolls onward. The four athletes competing at Winter Wars will be seeking to take one more step closer to a life-altering contract with Asia’s largest sports media promotion.

Southwestern Talent

Given RUF Nation’s regional presence, a key reason to tune into the pay-per-view telecast is to get a glimpse into the future of the sport.

You will get to take a peek at some of the up-and-coming talents in the southwestern region of the United States. As the next generation begins their trek through the system, fans will get an early viewing of how these young martial artists start their careers.

How many fans can say they watched a future star or future World Champion from the very beginning? Not many, but this could be your chance to do just that.

RUF 45 has plenty to offer before the holiday season ends for fans who cannot get enough action.

Wall-To-Wall Action

As previously stated, the Road to ONE heavyweight tournament has only had one decision so far. And that is only two of the matches brought to you on a 16-bout card from Phoenix. There will be 14 additional bouts to whet your appetite.

As the year winds down and the slate becomes a little drier, RUF Nation’s pay-per-view helps get you to the new year with more exciting action.

Forgo your typical Starbucks order and use that cash to support one of the top regional organizations in the southwest. Check out 16 fast-paced, hard-hitting bouts to see what prospects are on the rise. It should be an incredibly fun evening, so do not forget your popcorn.

If you live in the Phoenix area, tickets are still on sale at the Celebrity Theatre box office or online

To watch the action on pay-per-view, check out RUF Nation’s website, where you can purchase access to the event.
