Jorge Masvidal‘s promotion, Gamebred Fighting Championships, is the only bare-knuckle MMA organization in the world, and it caps off its inaugural year tonight with Gamebred Fighting Championship 3. The event goes down live from the Mississippi Coast Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The main event is contested at heavyweight, as UFC and PFL veteran Alex Nicholson headlines his second straight GFC show when he fights grizzled veteran Tony Lopez. “The Spartan” Nicholson returned from nearly two years away back in October at the aforementioned Gamebred Fighting Championship 2 to pick up a first-round TKO win over Jonathan Ivey to bring his MMA record to 15-8. Lopez, who has 96 MMA fights, has won two of his last three in MMA. Unfortunately, though, the 48-year-old Lopez has lost seven straight bouts across all combats sports, including boxing, kickboxing, and a bout in the BKFC.
Also on the card is UFC veteran Anthony Njokuani, who is facing a short-notice replacement in Wesley Golden, as well as former Olympic wrestler Hamdy Abdelwahab, decorated BJJ competitor Mansher Khera, and BKFC veterans Daniel Gary and Jessica Link.
MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with Gamebred Fighting Championship 3 results, with the card set to begin at 8pm ET/5pm PT on BKTV.
