Combat Jiu Jitsu informed via Instagram that there have been some changes made to December 19th CJJ Worlds event. UFC Hall of Famer Rashad Evans was removed from the card and as result, Urijah Faber will make his CJJ debut against the Bantamweight champion, Elias Anderson.

Member of the UFC Hall of Fame himself, Faber is no stranger to the ground game, as he has 17 submission wins in his professional MMA record and has never been tapped out. Former NCAA Division I wrestler and BJJ Brown belt under Fabio Prado, Faber has some competitive grappling experience in form of 4 bouts. He has lost three of them to such notable names as Paulo Miyao, Nicky Ryan, and Dustin Ortiz. The other one was a time limit draw against the legendary Kazushi Sakuraba.

Anderson has an 0 – 2 MMA record with all of his fights taking place inside the Bellator cage. He found his place in the submission grappling competitive circuit and made CJJ his home with 5 – 2 record. He’s riding a four-fight winning streak with his last victory taking place in March when he submitted Richard Alarcon to win the Bantamweight belt.
