UFC featherweight fighter, Ryan Hall was victorious at UFC 269, when he defeated Derrick Minner by a unanimous decision. During a post-fight media conference, he spoke on various topics: the fight itself and plans about the future, including competing in the 2022 ADCC Championships.
Hall stated that he’s looking forward to taking part in ADCC next year and has almost 18 years of grappling experience, full of ‘hundreds and hundreds of matches’. He plans to return to regular jiu-jitsu training and is not worried about a long period of break from grappling competition.
As for now his only chances to fulfill this idea are either win one of the ADCC Trials events or receive an invitation.
Hall has competed twice in ADCC Championships in 2009 and in 2011. In his first outing, he took third place in 66kg division defeating Jeff Glover. Two years later he lost in the quarterfinals to Robson Moura. His last grappling bout took place in 2012, when he lost on points to Justin Rader. Since then he focused on his MMA career and has a 9 – 2 record.
