In 2021, 16 candidates competed for a $250,000 contract and a year-long job as the protege of ONE Championship CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong on the inaugural season of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition.”

In 2022, fans in more than 150 countries will finally be able to watch the season as it comes to Netflix in the first quarter of the new year.

The wildly popular program was a success for the company both from viewers and critics alike. The show was one of the most-watched English-language programs on the continent in 2021, with more than 3.5 million viewers per episode.

“The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” also picked up two major awards from the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) in 2021 in the categories of “Best Non-Scripted Entertainment” and “Best Adaptation of an Existing Format.”

“The first season of the ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ was a smashing success. After a fantastic reception in Asia, it’s time for the rest of the world to experience the toughest and most unique version of ‘The Apprentice’ in history,” said Sityodtong.

“On behalf of ONE Championship, I am truly honored for all the support we have received for the show, and I’m excited to premiere the series to a broader audience.”

Aside from Sityodtong’s presence on the show, many other notable names in the world of martial arts appeared as guests. 

Making special appearances were Georges St-Pierre, former ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, former ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion Demetrious Johnson, Ritu Phogat, and Sage Northcutt.
