Fury Pro Grappling 3 is a gift that keeps on giving as another interesting matchup was added to the card. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will return on the grappling mat to take on fellow UFC competitor,  Joe Solecki

Cerrone’s last MMA fight took place at UFC Vegas 26 in May, where he lost via first-round TKO to Alex Morono. It was his fifth loss in the last six fights; the only exception being a no-contest after the bout against Niko Price, which was a result of him testing positive for marijuana. ‘Cowboy’ approaches this match after a loss to Craig Jones at CJJ: Worlds event, when Australian grappler submitted Cerrone by Rear – Naked Choke at 5:14 of regulation time.

Solecki’s last fight in UFC took place this past October when he lost by Split Decision to Jared Gordon. It marked an end to his six-fight winning streak. A BJJ black belt under John Hassett, he took part in the premiere UFC Fight Pass Invitational grappling event, where his bout against Gregory Rodrigues ended in a draw. It will be a return of sorts for him, as Solecki competed for CFFC before making his way to UFC.

Also, a bout between UFC middleweights Phil Hawes and Andre Petroski has also been added to the card. Fury Pro Grappling 3 takes place on December 30th at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia and streams on UFC Fight Pass.
