Kevin Holland is certainly living up to his nickname ‘The Trailblazer’. Never before have we had breaking fight news via an Onlyfans account… until now. Holland (21-7-1) announced today via his OnlyFans that he will be fighting Alex Oliveira at UFC 272 on March 5th. UFC 272 is set to be headlined by two title fights, contested between the top featherweight and bantamweight’s in the world.

Kevin Holland

Holland went 5-0 in 2020 and won over many people with his exciting style, in fight trash-talk and willingness to step in there against anyone at 185lbs. 2021 didn’t quite go to plan for Holland, who clearly struggled with his wrestling game against both Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori. Against Kyle Daukus, he, unfortunately, suffered a bad head-clash which lead to a finish victory for Daukus (which was ruled a no-contest post-fight). He recently announced his move down to welterweight in an attempt to re-capture his lost form. Since then, he’s stayed busy, competing at Fury Pro Grappling 3. Although he lost his bout, he certainly entertained (as usual).

Alex Oliveira

‘Cowboy’ Alex Oliveira, like Holland has been out of form as of late. Although he’s never in a boring fight, Oliveira is suffering through a three-fight losing skid, of which he’s been finished twice. Shavkat Rakhmonov and Randy Brown both finished the Brazillian via submission, where Niko Price bested him over 15 minutes. Despite this, he’s still highly regarded and is very much seen as a gatekeeper to the top 15. If you can’t get past Cowboy, there’s no chance you’re going to hang with the top 15 at 170lbs.

UFC 272

Although the card is yet to be finalised, UFC 272 is shaping up to be a good one. Alexander Volkanovski is set to defend his belt against an opponent who is yet to be named. It was originally Max Holloway, however, he had to withdraw due to an injury. The UFC are currently looking for a replacement.

Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling will clash again for the bantamweight title in a rematch of their controversial fight back at UFC 259. Yan finished that one, however, it was deemed to be via an illegal shot, so Sterling got his hand raised and walked away with the victory and consequently, the belt.

Exciting prospects Marina RodriguezJalin Turner, Manon Fiorot and Bryce Mitchell all return with tough match-ups. A grudge match between former teammates Maryna Moroz and Mariya Agapova is also set to light up the octagon when they settle their bitter rivalry at UFC 272.
