Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rafael Fiziev is expected to shake up the UFC’s lightweight rankings.

Officially confirmed by the UFC, Dos Anjos vs. Fiziev will headline the UFC Fight Night event on February 19th at UFC Apex, Las Vegas. All the bouts will be streamed on ESPN+.

Rafael dos Anjos (30-13 MMA, 19-11 UFC) has not fought since his bout with Paul Felder on November 14th of 2020, which was dos Anjos’ comeback to the lightweight division after suffering a loss to Michael Chiesa at welterweight. Dos Anjos was expected to face Islam Makhachev on October 30th of 2021 at UFC 267, a fight he was forced to pull out from due to knee surgery.

Rafael Fiziev (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) has put the whole lightweight division on notice after his spectacular wheel kick knockout of Brad Riddell in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Aldo vs. Font. Fiziev is on a 5-fight winning streak, a win over dos Anjos is guaranteed to get him a rank in the top 10 at lightweight.

This fight has action written all over it. Expect fireworks from Fiziev who is known for his aggressive Muay Thai style, and a relentless pace from dos Anjos with both his striking and grappling.
