With 8.84 billion organic video views, ONE Championship ranks #1 among all sports properties on Facebook per CrowdTangle/Facebook.
“It is an honor to be recognized as the #1 sports property in the world in Facebook organic video views in 2021. Once again, we could not have achieved this feat without the greatest fans in the world and our superstar team at ONE Championship. While this data represents a great milestone, we are poised to reach even greater heights in 2022,” said ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong in a press release.
The martial arts organization triumphed with nearly 1 billion more views than the next closest sports-entertainment organization, WWE. The Connecticut-based wrestling promotion checked in at #2 with 7.92 billion views.
Rounding out the top five were the ICC (2.61 billion), NBA (1.86 billion), and the UFC (1.65 billion).
The news followed their impressive growth in 2021. Per Neilsen, ONE increased its digital followers by 113% in 2020 to become the fastest-growing sports property. That growth played a role in making ONE the top in organic video views in 2021.
The growth will continue in 2022 as ONE has already begun its incredible slate of events in the first quarter. ONE returns on Friday, January 28, with ONE: Only The Brave for their second event of the year.
The string of events will lead to the tenth-anniversary show, ONE X, on Saturday, March 26, with three World Championship bouts along with the exciting mixed rules battle between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Demetrious Johnson.
If the numbers continue to trend upward, ONE can expect a massive 2022.
