As an MMA fighter, Sonnen has a 31 – 17 – 1 professional record. He made his debut back in 1997 and fought for various promotions such as Bodog Fights, World Extreme Cagefighting, UFC, and Bellator. He’s best known for his rivalry with Brazilian fighters Anderson Silva and Wanderlei Silva. In his two last fights, he lost to both Fedor Emelianenko and Lyoto Machida. After the latter one, Sonnen announced his retirement.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently getting ready for the first EFC event to be held on January 28 in the USA. In the main event crossover combat sports athlete Tyron Spong will take on MMA veteran Sergei Kharitonov. Former UFC champion Rashad Evans will also make his comeback from retirement.
Khabib’s promotion also signed Kevin Lee, who has been recently released by the UFC. Eagle FC is planning to hold ten events in the USA in 2022.
