The blueprint for 2022 has been drawn for ONE Championship per a press release from the organization on Monday.
2022 Schedule Announced for ONE Championship
Following its two opening events in January, ONE announced its remaining 22 dates for the year. However, some additional events will be added to the docket, according to ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
“We are thrilled to announce our 2022 live event calendar for ONE Championship. We have 24 blockbuster events scheduled so far, with more to come. We will continue to showcase the absolute best in World Championship talent, martial arts skill, and entertainment value,” said Sityodtong.
January has already seen ONE: Heavy Hitters and ONE: Only The Brave light the fuse for the year. Each exciting event has had its fireworks, but the big explosion will take place on Saturday, March 26, with the company’s tenth-anniversary event, ONE X.
ONE X is loaded. One of the marquee bouts is a special mixed rules super fight between Demetrious Johnson and ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
But also on the bill are three World Title bouts. ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao takes on Alaverdi Ramazanov, ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes battles Yuya Wakamatsu, and ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee defends the gold against ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix winner Stamp Fairtex.
The event will cap off the amazing first quarter of events for ONE and lay the groundwork for what will be an exciting rest of 2022.
On Friday, February 11, ONE returns to action with ONE: Bad Blood, headlined by an all-Brazilian bantamweight rivalry between ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker.
