As ONE Championship closes in on its epic tenth-anniversary event, ONE X, fans can get a sneak peek into the training camp of Angela Lee with the third installment of the “Anatomy of Angela Lee” video series on their YouTube channel.
In the latest episode, footage of Lee gearing up for her ONE Atomweight World Championship can be seen as she hits the gym with her baby daughter Ava in tow.
The “Unstoppable” queen of the atomweight division discussed the positive impact the pregnancy had on her camp in the video. She noted how eating healthy throughout the pregnancy allowed her to move seamlessly into her camp and how breastfeeding kicked up her metabolism.
As the champion’s camp is in full swing, she will need to be at her best to topple her latest challenger.
Stamp Fairtex stormed through the ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix to earn her shot at the gold. The former ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion has been chasing a title in a third sport since transitioning into mixed martial arts, and her first opportunity will come at ONE X.
Stamp flashed her development in each of her bouts. The former ONE Super Series queen used grappling to aid her tournament win, including a stunning submission over Ritu Phogat in the final.
It is evident from the video series that Lee is preparing for all aspects of the game and will be in the best shape of her career for the main event battle.
“I’m just very honored that I’m going to be headlining this huge card. It’s very monumental for ONE Championship, and it’s a stacked card from top to bottom,” said Lee.
“For me, it’s a lot of pressure, but I’ve always told myself since I was young, I always do really well under pressure. I thrive under pressure. The nerves that I’m feeling, the anxiousness, the excitement, it’s all energy, and I’m just going to be using that to my advantage come fight night.”
Fans can expect the best Angela Lee yet with that pressure mounting for ONE’s biggest event ever.
