Professional Fighters League Challenger Series will hold an “MMA Debut” event on April 1, which will be broadcasted live at 9:00 p.m. ET on fuboTV.
PFL Challenger Series Announces Debutants Event
Ten athletes will make their professional MMA debuts and will compete for a PFL contract and a chance to compete in the Regular Season. President of Fighter Operations of PFL, Ray Sefo said:
The Professional Fighters League prides itself on innovation and finding the best fighters from around the world. We are excited to present an entire PFL Challenger Series card to MMA fighters making their professional debuts. At the PFL we pride ourselves on looking to the future of the sport, the future steps into the SmartCage on April 1.
In the main event, Serbian fighter Andrija Stankovic will take on American Louis Brewington. Stankovic has a kickboxing background and Brewington, who has a four-fight winning streak on the amateur circuit, is a grappler. We can expect a classic striker vs. ground-oriented fighter matchup.
Chrisitan Turner is a lightweight prospect out of Atlanta’s American Top Team affiliate. He’s held in high regard, and that’s something when you look at a gym that he represents. His opponent is Cuban Chauanne Serrano, who fights out of the Southern part of the Sunshine State. Both bring impressive amateur resumes with Turner’s unblemished 4-0 record and Serrano’s stellar 6-1 mark.
In the lightweight division, Alexei Pergande will take on Joe Hamm, and also heavyweight clash is set to take place as Santino Zurita will test himself against Rakim Talley. Featherweights, Jayon McDaniel and Daeri Alderman are the fifth match-ups of this card.
