While ONE Championship prepares for its massive anniversary show, ONE X, a little more is going on for the promotion on Saturday, March 26.
RUF 46 Continues with ‘Road to ONE’
RUF Nation will continue its “Road To ONE” heavyweight tournament in Phoenix at the Celebrity Theatre with two semifinal matchups.
In the first semifinal, Cameron Chism-Brungard goes head-to-head with Tra’Von “Yimaz Wildman” Butler in a battle of pure finishers.
Chism-Brungard has spent just 90 seconds in professional competition as he knocked out both of his previous opponents inside of a minute. But “Yimaz Wildman” has lived up to his name with a quarterfinal finish at RUF 39.
Irvins Ayala makes his RUF debut against Terrance Jean-Jacques in the other semifinal.
Jean-Jacques was the only man to go to a decision in the quarterfinals. No matter the path to victory, he was the one who still got his hand raised. Now he meets the incoming Ayala, who is a perfect 4-0 in his young mixed martial arts career.
But it will be a full evening of fun in Phoenix with 12 additional bouts on the card.
Most notably will be the debut of former UNLV football player Biaggio Ali Walsh, who is the grandson of Muhammad Ali. The Nevada resident trains out of Xtreme Couture. The 5’10” Walsh will try to be the next successful combat sports athlete in the famed Ali family.
