Bellator 278 fight card has been expended with a bantamweight clash between Cee Jay Hamilton and Jared Scoggins. The event takes place Friday, April 22 at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena with the main card being broadcasted on Showtime.
Bantamweight Fight Joins the Bellator 278 Card
This matchup was reported by MMA Junkie which was informed by people with knowledge of the booking, but who asked to remain anonymous as the official announcement is yet to be made.
Hamilton, who has a 15 – 9 professional MMA record looks for his first win inside Bellator’s circular cage. After signing a multi-fight deal with Bellator back in early 2021, ‘Autobot’ fought two times, losing via submission to Magomed Magomedov and later being bested by Matheus Mattos via TKO in July 2021. The LFA, Titan FC, and Dana White’s Contender Series alumni will look to bounce back at Bellator 278.
He shares this goal with Scoggins, who also lost in his promotional debut when he was knocked out by Josh Hill at Bellator 272 in December. Prior to that, he was riding a five-fight winning streak, with the last victory taking place at CFFC 84 in September 2020. ‘Psycho’ defeated Tomas Vasquez by the unanimous decision, adding another win to his overall 10 – 2 MMA record. An LFA, UFFC, and CFFC veteran will be hoping to give a better performance when he enters the circular cage for a second time at Bellator 278,
