The Sanford Pentagon once again hosts Legacy Fighting Alliance for LFA 128 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Lucas Clay and Aaron McKenzie will battle for the vacant LFA lightweight belt in the main event atop an eight-fight MMA card. Keep it right here as MMASucka presents live LFA 128 results.
Main Event – Diving Board Into Stardom
For almost a year, the LFA lightweight title has remained vacant. Previous champions Nick Browne, Bryce Logan, Harvey Park, and Austin Hubbard all vacated the title before their first title defense. Having fought their way through ample competition, Aaron McKenzie and Lucas Clay are a combined 6-0 in the LFA lightweight division and ready to throw down in the biggest fight of their careers.
For Oklahoma’s Aaron McKenzie, the title fight is more a zenith of a long career. Having fought for Bellator and Rage in the Cage, the time is now for the 33-year old McKenzie to make his run to the top. He most recently triumphed in the main event of LFA 104 a year ago against Brandon Phillips. Training at Rafael Lovato’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in Oklahoma City, the win was a short drive away from where he trains.
Lucas Clay, on the other hand, is a young, hungry competitor training out of the St. Louis, Missouri, area. “Cassius” Clay won both of his LFA fights in 2021, recently tapping Jake Kozorosky with a Brabo choke at LFA 115. Before that, he took decisions over DWCS veterans JJ Okanovich and Mike Breeden in the LFA. As the nickname suggests, Clay is related to the legendary Muhammad Ali.
Rest of the Card
The remainder of the LFA 128 card features a lot of young fighters beginning their MMA careers, with the exception of the two heavyweights slugging it out in the co-main event. American Kickboxing Academy’s Jimmy Lawson takes on 10-fight veteran Marino Eatman of Florida in the co-feature, with Lawson looking to notch his fourth straight knockout, while Eatman looks to rebound from a loss in his last outing at XFC 44.
The card also features a collision of undefeated welterweights as Titan FC vet Devon Dixon fights Richie Miranda. Earlier on the card, more undefeated welterweights battle when Portland’s Sarek Shields meets Florida’s Thad Jean. Former NCAA Division I All-American wrestlers Mitch McKee and Bryce Meredith will be looking for their second professional MMA win after a successful debut. Full results are listed below in real-time. The LFA 128 prelims have no announced broadcast plans, although the bouts often stream live on the LFA’s Facebook page before the main card.
