LFA 132 Results

The Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) is back with another solid card from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that will see lightweights Italo Gomes and Melquizael Costa battle it out in their home country with a shot at the promotion’s lightweight championship on the line.

Friday’s card will feature exclusively Brazilian fighters with one exception: the 5-3 Rodrigo Roldan of Argentina, who is fighting Lincon Santos in one of the first fights of the night. The main event will pit rising lightweight prospects against one another with LFA CEO Ed Soares promising the winner a lightweight title shot later in the year. Gomes will be fighting in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro and be looking to extend his current win streak to three. In order to do so, the 26-year-old will have to get past an experienced prospect in the 25-year-old Costa who enters Friday night’s main event riding a five-fight winning streak of his own.

The co-main event will be contested between bantamweight prospects Luan Luiz Lacerda (11-1) and Marciley Alves (9-2). Lacerda, a Nova União product, has won eight-consecutive bouts and will hope to make another statement against Alves, a fighter with three knockouts on his record. Alves will look to close the distance against the larger Lacerda and keep the fight on the feet if at all possible, as Lacerda has snatched up a submission in seven victories on his current eight-fight run.

Also on the card are two-fight UFC veteran Gabriel Silva and two-fight Bellator veteran Leo Leite, who will take on Rono Junior and Patrick Quadros respectively.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with LFA 132 results, with the card airing on UFC Fight Pass starting at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
