On August 6, at Madison Square Garden in New York, Jake Paul returns to the squared circle. Originally expected to take on Tommy Fury, the YouTube bad boy will now face Hassim Rahman Jr. However, on Monday morning, Paul posted a video to his Twitter page that he had an ‘accident’.

“So guys, I’m in the hospital, I had an accident,” Paul stated in the video on Twitter. “I’m still gonna be able to fight August 6th so get your tickets at msg.com before they sell out. But, I broke my back, carrying the promotion for this event. It’s broken. NURSE. NURSE MORE MORPHINE. I BROKE MY BACK CARRYING THE LAST 5 FIGHTS PROMOTION. MY OPPONENTS NEVER SELL SHIT. AH IT HURTS. DO SOMETHING IT HURTS. THESE MOTHER FUCKERS NEVER SELL SHIT. THEY COULDN’T SELL A PEN TO A WRITER.”

It looks as if the 5-0 professional boxer has returned to his social media roots and is bringing the antics to the table prior to the August 6 fight.

Paul and Rahman Jr. faced off for the first time on July 13 and they didn’t mince words with each other at the official press conference for the fight.

This will be a legitimate test for Paul, as Rahman Jr. is the first boxer that he has fought. The 31-year-old, who is the son of former heavyweight champion, Hassim Rahman 12-1, with 6 knockouts on his professional record.
