Cage Warriors 141 Live Results-Lightweight Title Headliner

The title was vacated by the former champion, Joe McColgan due to personal reasons. Now George Hardwick and Kyle Driscoll will clash to determine the new kingpin of the lightweight division. Hardwick was scheduled to fight for the vacated title on two different occasions, but neither fight came to fruition. He rides a five-fight winning streak in both CW and Bellator.

Driscoll is an AKA member, who stacked up an eight-fight winning streak featuring fights in LFA, XFN, Combate, and Cage Warriors. In his promotional debut at CW 133, he defeated Joshua Jones by a unanimous decision.

Jim Wallhead vs. Daniel Skibinski

Wallhead is a true veteran of the U.K. MMA circuit, as he made his debut way back at CW 10. He fought in various promotions including UFC, Bellator, BAMMA, and KSW. He makes his promotional return after 8 years of testing waters elsewhere. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak with his last fight taking place at Bellator Birmingham back in 2019, where he defeated Giorgio Petrini by a unanimous decision.

Skibinski trains at Ankos MMA in Poznan, which is one of Poland’s best gyms. He lost his last two fights, but prior to that, he was enjoying a twelve-fight winning streak stacked up mainly in the polish Babilon MMA promotion.

The winner of this welterweight affair is expected to challenge for the title next.

Rest of the Card

Darren Stewart, a UFC veteran, will take on Mick Stanton. In a lightweight matchup, Agy Sardari will clash with polish fighter Michal Figlak. Sardari, a former champion, will look to make an example of the Pole and find his way back to the title picture. However, this may be a difficult task, as Figlak is a 5 – 0 inside the CW cage.
