For the first time in the history of the Armia (Army) Fight Night, the women’s fight will headline the event when Klaudia Syguła, who is considered to be the hope of women’s MMA in Poland, will face Brena Cardozo from Brazil.
Klaudia Syguła vs. Brena Cardozo
Syguła, who has a 3 -1 record honed her skills during amateur matches in the ALMMA and IMMAF competitions. She made her professional combat sport debut at the second WOTORE event, during which she submitted Karolina Sobek. Then she joined Armia Fight Night, and made her promotional debut at the 9th event, where the two ladies met again. This time it was Sobek who turned out to be better, surrendering the representative of ANKOS MMA gym in the third round. Syguła returned to the winning path as she beat Sylwia Maksym, Daria Regil and Zoya Litvinienko.
Cardozo has a 5 – 2 record and is the amateur champion of the IMMAF organization. The Brazilian has fought for such organizations as Shooto Brasil and LFA. Cardozo lost her last two fights and will certainly want to end her losing streak by defeating the Pole in the main event at AFN 14.
Damian Mieczkowski vs. Kamil Mękal
Both fighters will make their promotional debut as Corporal of the 8th Repair Battalion in Kołobrzeg, Damian Mieczkowski will face Kamil Mekal in the Co-Main Event.
Mieczkowski is a two-time Kickboxing World Champion. He is also a BJJ bronze belt, who placed 3rd in the 2021 Polish BJJ Championship 2021. A Berserker’s Team member took part in 24 amateur MMA fights with a record of 19 – 5. He is the amateur MMA World Champion and the 2022 Polish Army MMA Champion.
Mękal has a 7 – 1, 1 draw amateur record. He’s another individual that made his professional combat sports debut at WOTORE, which utilizes the Vale Tudo ruleset. He lost to Łukasz Parobiec at the premier edition Wotore after being thrown out of the ring on three different occasions. Mękal made his professional MMA debut at Babilon MMA 18, where he was submitted by Adam Łaguna with a rear-naked choke.
