BRAVE CF 60 Results

BRAVE Combat Federation hosted its 60th event on July 30th at the National Stadion in Isa Town, Bahrain. The event was headlined by a matchup between the Brazilian fighters Lucas Martins and  Henrique Marques.

Lucas Martins vs. Henrique Marques

Martins has a 20 – 6 record and he’s a UFC veteran. He’s currently on a three-fight winning streak and will be looking to change his luck by defeating his fellow countryman.

Marques sports an 8 – 1 professional record. He will be making his promotional debut and will try to bounce back after his first loss to Fabricio Soares at Brazilian Fighting Series 5.

Luan Santiago vs. Mihail Kotruta

In the co-main event another Brazilian fighter, Luan Santiago, will take on the Moldovian Mihail Kotruta.

Santiago is a former BRAVE CF Lightweight champion. He won the belt by knocking out Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady with a spinning elbow at BRAVE CF 23. He lost the belt to Cleiton Silva at BRAVE CF 25. He was released by the promotion back in 2021, but he made his way back by winning 2 out of his 3 last fights.

Kotruta is a Ukraine MMA circuit veteran, who made his BRAVE CF debut at BRAVE CF 54, where he lost to Mohamed Grabinski. This was his second of two losses of his career that put an end to his seven-fight winning streak.

Cleiton Silva vs. Leonardo Mafra

Cleiton Silva is yet another former BRAVE CF Lightweight champion. He lost the belt to Amin Ayoub at BRAVE CF 44. Since then he fought only one time against  Kubanychbek Abdisalam Uulu at BRAVE CF 57, but the bout was declared a No Contest due to Uulu’s accidental strikes to the back of Silva’s head.

Mafra is a former BRAVE CF Super Lightweight Champion. He won the belt by defeating Djamil Chan at BRAVE CF 25 but lost it to Eldar Eldarov at BRAVE CF 44 due to a doctor’s stoppage.

Asu AImabaev vs. Zach Makovsky

AImabaev is currently enjoying an eleven-fight winning streak and was awarded as a BRAVE CF Breakout Fighter of The Year and the author of BRAVE CF 2021 Submission of The Year.

Makovsky is a world grappling champion and longtime MMA veteran, who fought for Elite XC, Bellator, RFA, UFC, and ACB (now known as ACA). He made it to the semifinals of the Flyweight Championship Tournament but lost to Velimurad Alkhasov at BRAVE CF 50. Now he targets to fight the winner of the tournament but first will have to defeat AImabaev.
