Fans in the United States and Canada will finally be able to watch the award-winning first season of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition. The show is now available on-demand on Prime Video. It marks the first major North American streaming platform to carry the series domestically.
With ONE Championship joining Prime Video with live events, the partnership is growing with the addition of the competition series. 16 candidates vie for a $250,000 contract while competing in a series of physical and business challenges. The winner earns a one-year contract to become ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong’s protégé at ONE headquarters in Singapore.
“This addition to ONE’s on-demand library on Prime Video gives us yet another way to connect with our passionate fanbase in the U.S., as we provide them with this exciting new content stack,” said Sityodtong.
The show was filled with special guest stars from martial arts and the business world. Renzo Gracie, Demetrious Johnson, Rich Franklin, and Georges St-Pierre assisted the group of contestants with the physical challenges. Meanwhile, Eric Yuan (Zoom), Patrick Grove (Catcha Group), Anthony Tan (Grab), and Jeff Lawson (Twilio) gave the candidates advice from their years of experience running high-profile organizations.
The first season of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition aired earlier this year in over 150 countries on Netflix. The show trended in many countries and reached the top 10 in Singapore and Indonesia.
At the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards, The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition took home Best Non-Scripted Entertainment and Best Adaptation of an Existing Format awards. The highly-touted season now comes stateside via Prime Video for North American fans to enjoy.
