UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been called on by fans to help his former training partner Robbie Hageman. Hageman is currently suffering from a brain tumor but is unable to afford life-changing surgery in the USA. Fans are now hoping to reach ‘The Notorious‘ Conor McGregor for help.

Conor McGregor and Robbie Hageman

‘The Rabbit’ Robbie Hageman, 31, was a notable kickboxer with experience in GLORY Kickboxing. The father of three has an impressive 53-10 record in kickboxing. Hageman was brought to Dublin, Ireland to help McGregor prepare for his second match against Nate Diaz. A bout in which McGregor was victorious.

In a YouTube video, when Hageman was diagnosed, McGregor joined other athletes such as Rico Verhoeven to remain strong in his struggle. ‘Notorious’ said:

“Robbie, brother, I know you’re going through a fight right now but you’re a fighter, know that, I that. I have felt it from you personally in the cage, in the ring, on the mat. You’re a true fighter. You can overcome, my man. Thank you for your help in the Diaz 2 rematch …  I’m forever grateful to you. Whatever you need, Robbie, hit me up my man. Keep fighting, brother. We’re all with you.”

VechSport.info adds just how charitable McGregor has been in the past, they write:

For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Irish star single-handedly ensured that medical resources became available in his country. He also donated $100,000 from his Proper Twelve Irish whiskey business to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. To which he transferred another 1 million euros for the first responders yesterday. This was the signal for the fans to appeal to McGregor.

If fans are looking to help, they can donate through Hageman’s GoFundMe page. As of now, he has only raised €117,014 of the needed €475,000 goal. On his most recent social media post, fans attempted to reach the one and only Conor McGregor to ask for help.

Conor McGregor is a former two-division UFC world champion and one of the most notable figures in MMA history. He also had a blockbuster boxing bout against all-time great boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. McGregor is a business mogul owning an internationally successful whiskey brand, among other assets.
