CES is back for the first time this year to bring us CES 72: Caron vs. Collins at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Tonight, the New England based promotion has 9 fights lined up to set fight fans up for their middleweight championship bout.

Two veterans of the fight game face of tonight as Tim Caron (12-5) and Fran Collins (4-0) square off for the CES Middleweight Championship. Caron has stayed fairly busy in since he got started over a decade ago with 20 fights since starting his amateur career over a decade ago. Fighting in promotions such as Bellator and LFA has Caron feeling like he has everything it takes to win the middleweight belt. After a 10 year lay off, Fran Collins is still going strong after securing a finish getting another two wins last year in his first two fights for the promotion. Collins is an excellent finisher and hasn’t seen the scorecards yet since his been in the cage. Now with 5 rounds at his disposal, Collins intends to keep that streak alive against the grizzled vet. With a combined 13 finishes in their 16 wins, both fighters will be aiming to end the show as early as they can.

The co-main event features a familiar face when UFC veteran William Knight (11-5) takes on Jordan Powell (12-10). Just one month removed from his last UFC fight, Knight is eager to remind folks how he got there in the first place. Holding wins over Alonzo Menifield, Aleksa Camur, and Fabio Cherant, Knight plans on utilizing that invaluable experience as well as his deadly knockout power to get the job done tonight. Powell has fought some experienced fighters himself in the past decade he spent fighting. After fighting the likes of Dominick Reyes and Waldo Cortez-Acosta, Powell feels like he has everything he needs to take on Knight on short notice. With a combined 13 knockouts between these two fighters, it is safe to expect this will end in an early finish.

CES Lightweight Champion Nathan Ghareeb (7-2) continues to stay busy looking to build off his most recent title win for the promotion. Now fighting back at featherweight, Ghareeb is ready to start a run in his more natural class against Longo and Weidman MMA fighter Damion Nelson (4-1). Knockout specialist Mike Kimbel (4-3) returns for his second fight for CES. Undefeated flyweights Casey Norton (2-0) and Jordan Burkholder (2-0) will also turn some heads and the two talented prospects open up the main card.
