The most well-known bare knuckle promotion makes its next stop in Virginia for the first time ever as BKFC 39 will be hosted Friday under the light of Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA live from the BKFC App.
A homecoming for the ages
It is quite the homecoming for Reggie ‘Educated Hands’ Barnett Jr (8-0) as Chesapeake’s fighter will get to showcase his craft in the main event of the first-ever BKFC showing in the state’s history.
He takes on Daniel Alvarez (1-0) who has been on a fast rise in the Bantamweight division and now looks to dethrone the division’s king. Barnett Jr. has been a mainstay for the promotion as he made his debut way back at BKFC 1. This Friday he will become the first fighter in BKFC history to compete in its squared circle for the eleventh time.
Alvarez is taking the fight on short notice to fight Barnett Jr. And the vicious Mexican-American though still young jumped at the chance for greatness coming off a stunning first-round stoppage over the previously number 1 ranked flyweight contender JR Ridge in his debut.
A female slugfest for gold
Also in the co-main, much like Barnett Jr, there is a woman who hails from Virginia looking to put on a show for her state as Britain Hart defends her BKFC Women’s Strawweight title against Tennessee’s Jenny ‘Savage’ Clausius. Hart (6-3, 2 KO) is the most active female fighter in the promotion’s history and the only one to dent Clausius (3-1, 2 KO) record. There is a lot of animosity between both fighters, who are looking to make a stamp in this grudge match with an emphatic finish.
BKFC also features a card full of exciting thrillers as UFC veteran Dustin ‘The Disciple’ Pague (1-1, 1 KO) and James ‘Knucklehead’ Dennis (1-1, 1 KO) as well as Jay ‘Action’ Jackson (2-2, 2 KO), Idris ‘Grumpy Bear’ Wasi (1-1, 1 KO) and many more!
