Eddie Bravo’s female-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Combat Jiu-Jitsu promotion Medusa returns tonight with Medusa 4, going down live from the Poliforum in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, as 16 women will go toe-to-toe in a flyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament.

MMA fighters make up a large number of the tournament’s competitors. Fast-rising strawweight prospect Fatima Kline recently picked up a win at Invicta FC 52 and returns to Medusa for the third time, having won the strawweight EBI-rules tournament at Medusa 1 and finishing as the runner-up in the bantamweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament at Medusa 2. She is paired with Argentinian Sofia Landi in the opening round, who holds a 2-0 record in MMA. Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella lost in the opening round of the flyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament at Medusa 3, as did LFA strawweight product Alandria Brown, and they will face each other in the opening round tonight. Taylor Mauldin defeated Macy Breaux at Fury FC 65, but a rematch could be in order in the semifinals if both athletes win their first two matchups.

Invicta FC and Bellator veteran Tabatha Watkins has not competed in MMA since falling in the opening round at Invicta FC Phoenix Tournament: Atomweights, but will get back to action tonight looking to win this tournament instead. Similarly, Natalie Salcedo last competed at Invicta FC 44, and culminates a recovery from an ACL injury by returning to competition tonight.

Bre Stikk defeated Kiaya Jackson in the finals of the aforementioned flyweight CJJ tournament at Medusa 3, and both are set to compete again tonight. Jackson is matched up with Salcedo in the opening round, while Stikk is paired with recently-promoted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt Yasemin Martinez. Chrissy Briggs also returns from Medusa 3, and will go against Mauldin in the opening round. Ally Wolski, who trains out of the famed B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, faces Breaux while Daniel Gracie Jiu Jitsu product Gabi Maslanka grapples Watkins. Finally, 2022 IBJJF no-gi bronze medalist and 2022 ADCC Open champion Alex Enriquez will battle fellow 2022 ADCC Open competitor Sarah Elizabeth Pyles, who was also a semifinalist of the EBI-rules strawweight tournament at Medusa 2.

In the two special matches, 2022 British Open bronze medalist Lilly Wayman locks horns with 10th Planet product Marie Perin, while another 10th Planet grappler Madelynne Wade goes against UFC veteran Hannah Goldy.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with Medusa 4 results, set to air on UFC Fight Pass at 10pm ET/7pm PT.
