Legacy Fighting Alliance has arrived at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to host LFA 156: Fuller vs. Waters. Tonight’s card is we have nine fights showcasing some of the best talent in the regional scene. The event will end with a championship matchup in the welterweight division.

Main Card

The main event will be a matchup between two giants of the welterweight division when 6’2” Jalin Fuller (7-2) squares off against 6’5 Trey Waters (6-1). Fuller has spent the majority of his career with LFA and has looked good while doing so. Despite being a few inches shorter than his opposition, Fuller holds a three-inch reach advantage and was able to use those arms to secure a high elbow guillotine against Scott Wirtz earlier this year. Waters is no stranger to a guillotine choke either with 3 of his wins coming from that very same submission. However, this fight should primarily take place on the feet with both Fuller and Waters being such talented strikers. Coming off his first pro loss to Gabriel Bonfim in Dana White’s Contender Series, Waters is aiming to win the title and take the next step in his career.

The catchweight bout between Ryan Leininger (10-3) and Miguel Jacob (7-2) should also produce some fireworks in the co-main event. Leininger is another long fighter for welterweight. Standing at 6’3”, Leininger will have the clear advantage in reach and experience as well. After fighting other top prospects such as Joseph Holmes, Haris Talundžić, and Darrius Flowers, Leininger feels like he has everything he needs to get the job done for the fans nearby in Nebraska. Kings MMA’s Miguel Jacob is a fellow striker who found the finish in his last 3 wins. He’s been training with former LFA Flyweight champ Maikel Perez recently and plans to use that wisdom he’s gained to secure his first LFA win. With the welterweight title on the line in the main event, both men are fighting for that next title shot and to propel their young fight careers.

LFA made sure to keep this card stacked with future prospects looking to take over MMA. Richie Lewis (3-0) and Talita Alencar (3-0) started their careers with Titan FC where they both quickly established their elite ground game. Now they look to take the next step in their fight career against their respective opponents. IMMAF World Champion Nikita Kulshin (3-0) is set to have his LFA debut as well. At just 23 years old, Kulshin already has five years of experience and winning all of his fights thus far. Elevation Fight Team’s rising heavyweight Ben Tynan (3-0) makes his highly anticipated return to the LFA cage. The Canadian born fighter looks to keep on impressing with his smothering wrestling ability in the main card opener tonight.

MMA Sucka will have live coverage for LFA 156: Fuller vs. Waters as it airs live on UFC Fight Pass at 9pm E.T./6pm P.T.
