ONE Championship has made its way back to Singapore Indoor Stadium to present ONE Fight Night 9: Nong-O vs. Haggerty. The multifaceted organization will be delivering Muay Thai and MMA at the highest level this Friday evening. Tonight’s event will end with a Muay Thai championship matchup in ONE’s featherweight division.

The main event features two of ONE’s most well known athletes when Nong-O Hama defends his throne against former ONE Flyweight champion Jonathan Haggerty. Nong-O has seemed unstoppable in his stint with ONE and is currently riding a 5 fight finishing streak. At 36 years of age Nong-O has been been fighting for over two decades now and his technique truly shows it. After defeating every challenger thrown his way Jonathan Haggerty has stepped up to give Nong-O a new obstacle and potentially a run for his money. Haggerty has been racking a some wins since his battles with Rodtang Jitmuangnon and is sitting on a three fight win streak at the moment. After moving up a weight class for the first time since joining ONE, Haggerty believes he has everything it takes to win a championship belt once again.

Rising prospects Halil Amir (8-0) and Maurice Abevi (6-0) are matched up in the co-main slot this evening. Amir showed he’s a force to be reckoned with after his brutal finish over former title challenger Timofey Nastyukhin. The Turkish fighter will look to retain the same energy in his rise to the top. Abevi is the newcomer in this matchup but is coming off an impressive calf slicer submission victory in his most recent outing. After a year off from competing and some training at Tiger Muay Thai Abevi is ready to what it takes to win his his ONE debut.

A potential ONE strawweight title eliminator fight could unfold when Bokang Masunyane (8-1) and Hiroba Minowa (13-3) square off tonight. Masunyane has been electric so far showcasing his tremendous speed and landing beautiful head kick knockout in his most recent win. Minowa on the other hand has displayed a unique ability win close fights with his two split decision victories to start out his ONE career. Both men are coming off losses to current champ, Jarred Brooks, earlier this year and are aiming to get back into the title picture with a win tonight.

ONE has brought out many other prospects for tonight’s event with Denice Zamboanga (9-2) returning since her split decision win over Heqin Lin. Australia’s Isi Fitikefu (7-1) looks to bounce back from his first career loss in his ONE debut. Dayane Cardoso (9-1-1) is back for her second fight as well as she attempts to make some waves in ONE’s strawweight division. Team Lakay’s Jhanlo Mark Sangiao (5-0) will open the card against fellow undefeated prospect Matias Farinelli (5-0). Sangiao has made easy work of his opponents this far and is looking to be that next Filipino sensation to take over ONE Championship.

MMA Sucka will have live coverage for ONE on Prime Video 9: Nong-O vs. Haggerty. The full card will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
