Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is back and bringing its biggest event in the history of the promotion to the 1stBank center in Broomfield, Colorado as former UFC contender Chad Mendes takes on former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and in the main event former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold faces former UFC talent Mike Perry.

BKFC 41- Bare Knuckle’s Biggest Event Ever

Rockhold most recently returned after a three year hiatus at UFC 279, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Paulo Costa. The former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion announced his retirement shortly after. After being released from the company, he retracted his sentiments of retirement and opted to sign with BKFC. Rockhold, 38, has lost four of his last five bouts, three of them coming by way of knockout or technical knockout.

His opponent Mike Perry, is 2-0 under the BKFC promotion, with victories over Bellator contender Michael ‘Venom’ Page and two time Ultimate Fighter member Julian Lane. During his UFC tenure, Perry went 7-8.

Eddie Alvarez, who is one half of the co-main, parted ways with ONE Championship a year ago, going 1-2 with a no contest. In his most recent appearance, the former UFC and Bellator lightweight champion lost a unanimous decision to Rae Yoon Ok on April 2021.

Opposite of him is Chad Mendes who retired from MMA in 2019 before signing with BKFC in 2021. His debut came in February 2022 where he defeated Joshuah Alvarez in a fourth round TKO. Mendes is former UFC featherweight title challenger who lost four of his last six before ultimately leaving the promotion.
