Stay tuned to MMASucka for ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes 3 live results.

This weekend comes as a double header for MMASucka staff picks. Stay tuned tomorrow (Saturday) morning for our UFC 288: Sterling vs. Cejudo picks from Newark, New Jersey.

The Fights

Headlining the night ahead sees Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes set to clash in their trilogy fight for the ONE Flyweight Championship (135 pounds). The two first met in April of 2017 with Moraes defending the title after securing a second-round knockout. A rematch would come in August of last year where Johnson would avenge the loss over Moraes with a flying knee in the fourth round to take the championship. Each defeat for Johnson and Moraes came as the fourth of their professional careers as well as the only time having been finished by an opponent.

Current champion Johnson will be making his 30th walk to the cage in mixed martial arts with a legacy deemed as one of the greatest all-time. The former eleven-time defending UFC Flyweight Champion at 125 pounds and 2019 ONE Grand Prix winner looks to make the most in his attempt at defending the belt in what could be one of his final MMA appearances. Meanwhile, Moraes looks to claim back the very title he has held for three separate reigns between September of 2014 and the aforementioned loss last year. The well-rounded talent out of American Top Team looks to make the most, once more, against one of the best in combat history in what will be his 16th ONE Championship fight.

Women’s atomweights (115 pounds) will meet between 25-year-old Stamp Fairtex and 28-year-old Alyse Anderson. Former ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Fairtex targets a second straight victory in MMA after losing to Angela Lee for the title last spring. Invicta FC notable Anderson gets her biggest test to date also looking for two in-a-row after her May of 2022 submission over Asha Roka.

Three additional fights make up our highly-anticipated picks. Former two-divisional KSW Champion Roberto Soldic returns in his second promotional fight against former ONE Welterweight Champion (185 pounds) Zebaztian Kadestam; Sage Northcutt makes his long-awaited return after a near-four year hiatus against rising Pakistani standout Ahmed Mujtaba in the lightweight division (175 pounds); and former simultaneous two-divisional ONE champion Aung La N Sang aims for his third-straight first round knockout en route back to the top at middleweight (205 pounds) against China’s Rong Fan who targets his first win in roughly two and-a-half years.

Although not counted for our picks, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Edgar Tabares will square off in the co-main event for the Flyweight Muay Thai title as well as a meeting between Mikey Musumeci and Osamah Almarwai for 135-pound Submission Grappling World Championship.

2023 Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of five promotions: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator MMA, ONE Championship, the Professional Fighters League (PFL), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS). UFC and Bellator events feature picks from only main cards. PFL will feature select fights from the main and preliminary card while DWCS sees all fights counted from the event. ONE Championship returns to picks for the first time since 2020 and will feature only mixed martial arts (MMA) fights selected from cards with a minimum three matchups.

The WINNER of staff picks at the end of 2023, who picked the most victorious fighters, will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a chain from Championship Chains. Staff picks in 2022 was won by Wesley Riddle with a record of 264-135.
