UFC President Dana White announced the main and co-main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Pass Invitational which airs live on UFC Fight Pass on June 29.

The head honcho at The B Team has not seen mat action since 2022. He has been plastered all over the team’s YouTube page, however, we have not seen him grapple in front of an audience since ADCC where he lost in the finals against Kaynan Duarte. The former teammate of Gordon Ryan was seen training with Pena leading up to his match in 2022 against Ryan.

Pena competed once in 2023 – he won a referee decision victory against Nick Rodriguez at a Who’s Number One event. Nicky Rod was a late replacement for Gordon Ryan who pulled out due to an injury prior to the match.

The other match-up announced between Teixeira and Smith could be an interesting one. Both men are so well versed in MMA, with Smith likely having the upper hand in grappling experience on the BJJ mats.

The UFC Fight Pass Invitational goes down on June 29 live on UFC Fight Pass. Keep it locked to MMASucka.com for more matches from this card as they are announced.
