ONE Fight Night 13 is set to deliver another exciting night of action from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Friday, August 4. ONE Championship’s latest U.S. primetime event is stacked to the brim with talent. And Sage Northcutt is among the many ready to be locked into Prime Video on Friday night.

Unsurprisingly, the American is most excited about the dazzling main event. In the deepest division in all of martial arts, pound-for-pound king Chingiz Allazov defends the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship against Marat Grigorian. Anticipating a battle of two ultra-aggressive strikers, Northcutt is already on the edge of his seat.

“Man, that’s huge. You take someone that’s top one or top two in the world, and he’s going against the pound-for-pound champion. That’s a fight where literally anything can happen. They already have a little bit of history, so it’s been waiting to happen. Now it’s going down, and I think that the fans are going to absolutely love it,” Northcutt told ONE.

The kickboxing debut of ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai also caught Northcutt’s attention. Although Davit Kiria will enter as an underdog to the Thai star, Northcutt is giving both men equal footing inside the ring. He anticipates a tactical battle with the deciding factor coming down to accuracy.

“Based on their last fights, I feel it’s going to be a precision striking match to see who’s more accurate and who’s the one that’s lasting with the better cardio in the end. I’m looking forward to seeing that because I think precision, accuracy that’s always fun to watch. It’s like a sniper hitting from the outside,” Northcutt suggested.

The lightweight contender is also looking at the submission grappling co-main event and return of John Lineker. For Mikey Musumeci’s ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Championship defense against Jarred Brooks, “Super” Sage is excited to see what Brooks can offer on the mat. As for Lineker, Northcutt is always going to tune in to see “Hands of Stone” sling heavy leather.

And heavy leather is a given for heavyweights. Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida will meet “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane in a critical contender’s clash. When breaking down the action, Northcutt recalled the age-old debate of wrestling vs. jiu-jitsu.

“In general, wrestling vs. jiu-jitsu, that’s always an interesting topic. A lot of times, wrestling can outperform and beat jiu-jitsu, and if you have strikes involved too, it can change everything. But if a jiu-jitsu guy knows how to tie him up and keep things really tight down there from the bottom, I feel like that can be a hard night for a wrestler,” Northcutt said.

Although Northcutt did not pick winners, his unbridled enthusiasm for the event was evident. From top-to-bottom, ONE Fight Night 13 packs a wallop with its ten bouts. Anything can happen, making it another event sure to be seen in U.S. primetime.

ONE Fight Night 13 will air live on Friday, August 4, on Prime Video. The action will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all U.S. and Canadian Prime Video subscribers.
