Bellator MMA fighter Cris Lencioni suffered a cardiac arrest while training on June 8 in Spokane, Washington.
The past several weeks have been a wild journey for the 28-year-old and today, August 6, he walked out of the hospital on his own two feet.
His wife Marca, updated the public and his fans via his official Instagram. Check that out below.

“This is Cris’ wife, Marca. On Thursday 6/8 there was an incident while Cris was training, and he experienced a cardiac arrest. The athletes at the gym were great and immediately called 911 and did their best to address his needs until paramedics arrived.
We are currently in another state. He has been under the care of excellent doctors with I and much of his family by his side. We are all hopeful for the progress we know he will continue to make.
Prayers are always welcome – if your kiddos want to make a card or anything like that, bring it to the gym and we will make sure Cris gets it. We are currently in uncharted territory and taking everything day by day. Thank you for the continued support during this time.
Some of Cris’ family has started a GoFundMe page. I’ll add the link in his Bio but keeping us in your thoughts and prayers is very much appreciated.”
There was a GoFundMe created for the family and the public flooded it with support.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life Cris Lencioni. Your birthday looked a lot different this year but I’m so grateful you’re still with us. A little update for everyone, Cris is doing so much better. He’s had his trach and G-tube removed and is working on speaking again. The last two videos are from Physical therapy sessions he has had. He’s come a long way and I’m so proud. A few weeks ago he was having trouble holding his head up by himself and now he’s walking and talking again. He’s still sunshine with the same attitude ❤️Continuing to fight hard for himself and his family. We love you so much. Next we will be heading to Utah for rehab 👊”

“After 58 days Cris walked out of the hospital. He spent 16 days in the ICU after a cardiac arrest caused by long QT. Next step is inpatient rehab in Utah. I’m so proud of him. We are one step closer to being home with our son!”
Lencioni (11-3) was expected to compete at Bellator 298 against Ireland’s James Gallagher. The road back to the cage is uncertain at this point. But all of us at MMASucka.com are wishing Cris and his family the best on his next steps to recovery.
