At ONE Fight Night 15: Tawanchai vs. Superbon, ONE Bantamweight World Champion Fabricio Andrade will meet ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty for the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Haggerty captured the bantamweight gold with a stunning upset knockout over Nong-O Hama at ONE Fight Night 9. After his victory, numerous flyweight and bantamweight talents called him out for their shot. Although he became the most popular man at the party, a shot at a second belt was too good to pass up.
Andrade has a fast and impressive rise through the bantamweight ranks himself. The Brazilian used exciting finishes to earn his shot at John Lineker and the ONE Bantamweight World Title. âWonder Boyâ proved he was the better man with a dominant performance to become the divisionâs new king.
But the Brazilian will not be out of his striking depth against the Brit. Andrade has extensive experience in Muay Thai and kickboxing, with nearly 50 professional bouts under his belt. He will try to upend Haggerty to silence any doubters in this monstrous collision.
