The premium grappling organisation, Who’s Number One returned last night with a blockbuster event featuring plenty of recognisable names in the world of submission grappling.
Headling the event we saw Nicholas Meregali submit Katnan Duarte, utilising his superior wrestling game and finishing things early. The -99kg ADCC bronze medalist from last year secured the Tezos WNO submission of the night for his victory in the headline feature.
Elsewhere, Wales’ star girl, Ffion Davies retained her WNO flyweight title after a dominant decision victory over Jasmine Rocha. There was a little heat between the two after this week’s press conference, where Rocha claimed she would submit the reigning champion. Unfortunately for Rocha, it wasn’t to be, as Davies utilised the kneecut to get to guard and then maintained mount on her way to victory.
