Bellator MMA‘s Dillon Danis is facing legal ramifications for his online assault on Logan Paul in the build-up to their Misfits Boxing match in October.

Dillon Danis Faces Legal Trouble for Online Assault

After Danis was revealed as Logan Paul’s opponent for the upcoming Misfits Boxing “X SERIES 009” event, a heated online back-and-forth began. Initially, Danis focused his attack on Paul’s recent CryptoZoo controversy which saw him steal millions of dollars from his fans after failing to deliver on a promised “crypto game”. Paul made no public comment in response.

Danis changed tactics, switching his attention to Logan Paul’s new fiancée Nina Agdal. He posted many pictures of Agdal with previous romantic partners; including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tommy Lee, and various NBA stars. Multiple naked pictures of Agdal also made their way onto Danis’ Twitter feed, as well as a photoshopped snap of Agdal hugging Danis himself.

After failing to win back some favor with his own insults, Logan Paul issued a cease and desist to Danis from his lawyer in an attempt to halt the onslaught. However, Danis made his intentions to continue clear, and mocked Paul for bringing legality into the matter.

His ongoing feud with Logan Paul is not the first controversy involving Danis in the influencer boxing space. Danis was booked to compete against Misfits Boxing CEO KSI in January, before pulling out on two weeks’ notice. He cited his failure to train as the primary reason for his cancellation. Two weeks prior, Danis was bragging he had no coach and will fight on his own with no camp. He was banned from appearing on the promotion in the future.

Danis was also already booked to fight Logan Paul at the end of last year, but the latter was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury sustained while performing for the WWE. Paul promised a return on the “PRIME card”—a boxing event headlined by himself and PRIME co-owner KSI—and has spoke of his desire to defeat Danis since their original fight was canceled.

Danis has been out of action for four years, and despite his association with famous names, he is mostly known for his actions outside the ring. A teammate of Conor McGregor and a landing pad of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Danis has been involved in street fights and internet beefs with various YouTubers and social media personalities. Danis’ persistent trolling led to rumors of a fight with Jake Paul in early 2021, but the bout failed to materialize when Paul opted to challenge Ben Askren instead.

Logan Paul will get his chance to exact revenge on Danis when they meet in the ring on October 14th, co-headlining alongside KSI vs Tommy Fury.
