This Saturday, fight fans witness the UFC‘s return to Paris, France, with a card full of not only French talent but some very interesting and entertaining prospects that have recently made their way into the UFC. A must see card that will hopefully be packed top to bottom with action—these are the results for UFC Paris.
UFC Paris: Gane vs Spivak Live Results
The main event will see a heavyweight showdown between Ciryl Gane and Sergey Spivak. Gane who is coming off of a title fight loss to Jon Jones will be looking to reassert himself in the winner’s column with a win on home turf. Spivak on the other hand has been enjoying a three-fight winning streak with his most recent win coming over Derrick Lewis. Now he has the chance to claim possibly the biggest scalp of his career and truly assert himself as a top contender in the heavyweight division. A fight with top prospect Tom Aspinall has been teased for whoever emerges victorious in this main event.
Co-Main Event
The co-main sees the return of a former champion to the Octagon. Rose Namajunas has not made a UFC appearance ever since losing her belt to Carla Esparza in a bout that was heavily criticized by both fans and pundits alike. Now returning to the UFC, she is looking for a new journey as she makes the move up from strawweight to flyweight. She will have no welcoming party, however as the match that awaits her at flyweight is among the toughest in the division. Manon Fiorot currently sits at number two in the flyweight division and is undefeated in the UFC. She is currently riding a 5-fight win streak. With the winner of this bout likely receiving a title shot, both women will be looking to give their best possible performances to score a dominant victory on the night.
The Rest of the Card
In the lightweight division, Benoit Saint-Denis will be looking to delight the home crowd as he takes on Thiago Moises. If Saint-Denis is victorious, a win over Moises would go a long way to affirming his status as a serious fighter at 155-lbs. and gets him one step closer to getting a ranked opponent in his next fight.
Volkan Ozedemir makes his return to the UFC with a matchup against Bogdan Guskov. A former title challenger, Ozedemir has not been in best of form since losing his title fight against Daniel Cormier back in 2018.
Moving down the card, a battle of French featherweights sees William Gomis take on Yanis Ghemmouri and opening up the main card will be former Cage Warriors star Morgan Charriere who will be making his promotional debut against Italian Featherweight Manolo Zecchini
