The Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang plays host to another card from ONE Championship where it will already be Saturday morning by the time the event kicks off. After a pause of close to two months, the promotion returns to its Singapore home base and the bright spotlights of Amazon Prime Video.Β

ONE on Prime Video 14 is the first of two consecutive Fridays of action on the streaming service. Next week, the scene shifts to Bangkok and Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for ONE on Prime Video 15.

The main event is currently forecasted to feature the battle for the ONE Interim Featherweight Championship between No. 1 contender Thanh Le (13-3 MMA, 5-1 ONE Championship) and No. 3 contender Ilya Freymanov (12-2 MMA, 2-0 ONE Championship.) More on that next week.

Women’s Interim Atomweight Championship on the Line in ONE on Prime Video 14 Main Event

Switching back to ONE on Prime Video 14, Friday’s card (8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT, Amazon Prime- North America only) features a total of nine fights, including five in MMA. History possibly beckons in the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event, where the promotion’s women’s interim atomweight championship is up for grabs.

No. 1 contender Stamp Fairtex (10-2 MMA, 10-2 ONE Championship), the former ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay-Thai and Kickboxing Champion), will attempt to win a belt in a third combative discipline against No. 2 contender Ham Seo Hee (26-8 MMA, 3-0 ONE Championship.)Β  Like all title bouts in MMA, the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event will be an advertised maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round to close out the evening’s activities.

ONE on Prime Video 14 Main Event Fighter Comparison

Heading into the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event on Friday, both of these contestants stand level in height at 5-foot-2. Stamp owns a one-inch reach advantage (63 inches to 62 inches) over Ham.

Stamp Fairtex Looking for Her Place in Combat Sports History

Stamp Fairtex enters the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event this Friday night having posted a record of 4-1 over her last five contests. At the present time, she’s on a two-fight winning streak.

Last time out, Stamp scored a second-round knockout with a liver kick versus Alyse Anderson (6-3 MMA, 1-2 ONE Championship) on May 5 during ONE on Prime Video 10. As previously mentioned, a win here would be one for the history books, something not lost on her as fight night draws near.

“This fight means a lot to me,” Stamp began. “If I win, I’ll be the first three-sport ONE World Champion, which no one has ever accomplished before. I’m determined to make history.”

Ham Eyes Unification Bout vs. Lee After Win vs. Stamp

In the other corner Ham Seo Hee has gone 5-0 in her last five contests. Currently, she has a nine-fight winning streak.

Most recently, she battled Hirata Itsuki (6-2 MMA, 5-2 ONE Championship) to a unanimous decision victory back in March. During Ham’s Wednesday media availability, she mentioned that she’s aiming toward unification at a later date.

“Of course, a victory is something that I really want to achieve and think about,” Ham began, through her translator, “whether it’s a knockout victory or a decision victory. However that goes, I am thinking of getting the win. If I do get the win, if I do get the title, I think of meeting Angela Lee somewhere down the road.”

Lee has not fought in ONE since last year and mourned the death of her sister back in January. She recently disclosed her own past suicide attempt and will reveal her fighting future at ONE on Prime Video 14.

Analysis, Film Study, and Prediction

Stylistically, the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event looks to favor Stamp Fairtex. While both fighters are kickboxers by trade, Stamp owns a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Watch Stamp’s Kicking Game

Stamp Fairtex is known for crisp kicks throughout her combat sports career. One need look no further than her first career appearance vs. Rashi Shinde in 2018.

Right from the command to fight, Stamp was on a mission to score the win in devastating fashion. Upon landing a leg kick, she went upstairs and delivered a vicious shot to the head, knocking Shinde out on contact in just 18 seconds.

Ham Has Brutal Knees

In the other corner, just as Stamp Fairtex has a great kicking game, Ham Seo Hee’s knees are also something to behold. Ham’s fight against Tomo Maesawa in 2019 is a textbook example.

During the first round, Ham bided her time and waited to call her shot, but Maesawa became the aggressor, unloading with a variety of punches against the ring ropes. Ham began to seize control of the fight by clinching Maesawa and scoring with knees to the body.

Another flurry of knees to Maesawa’s body dropped her, allowing Ham to continue the onslaught with knees to her head (a legal move against a downed opponent in RIZIN Fighting Federation, much like in ONE Championship). Jason Herzog couldn’t stop the fight quickly enough.

Final Thoughts

Out of all the fights you might see this weekend in combat sports, the ONE on Prime Video 14 main event looks to be the best of all. Get your popcorn ready early, because you don’t want to miss a moment once the opening bell rings.

Prediction: Stamp Fairtex by Unanimous Decision.
