Stay tuned this upcoming Tuesday, October 3rd for our staff picks from Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 7, Week 9 from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Fights
In the featured main event, Stamp Fairtex and Ham Seo Hee will battle for the interim ONE Atomweight World Championship (115 pounds).
Fairtex comes in prepared for her second opportunity at the divisional title after falling short by second-round rear-naked choke in her March of 2022 bout with Angela Lee. Claiming the interim belt would be the former ONE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Champion’s third consecutive victory in mixed martial arts including her “Performance of the Night” knockout of Alyse Anderson in May. Fairtex’s opponent, Seo Hee, brings in her well-established resume dating back to her professional beginnings in early 2007. A former Road FC, Jewels, and RIZIN title holder, the Team Mad athlete has won nine in-a-row as she prepares for what will be her 35th fight.
Bantamweights (145 pounds) John Lineker and Stephen Loman will meet in an important fight for their respected division. Former UFC competitor and ONE Champion Lineker rebounded after losing the title to Fabricio Andrade with a comeback knockout over Kim Jae Woong with only four seconds remaining in round three. Team Lakay’s Loman makes his first appearance of the year after an impressive 2022 with unanimous decisions over veterans Shoko Sato and Bibiano Fernandes extending his win streak to eleven.
Three additional MMA fights make up the card ahead including fighters like former two-time ONE Lightweight Champion Eduard Folayang and dangerous heavyweight striker Mauro Cerilli. Who wins and who is picked to win at ONE Fight Night 14?
