Thursday, October 19, Battlefield Fight League returns to the Harbour Event Center in downtown Vancouver and we will have BFL 78 results for you all night long.

There are three titles on the line — two amateur and the main event for the BFL world welterweight title.

Main Event Championship Cancelled

The main event was expected to feature one of Canada’s most technical strikers, Dejan Kajic as he put his title on the line against Josenaldo Silva. Unfortunately, that fight has been scrapped due to Silva being unable to get a flight into Canada. Kajic is riding a seven-fight winning streak, dating back to 2018. Six of those seven fights have been finished by stoppage, with his most recent being a decision victory against JC Llamas. Silva is on a four-fight winning streak but hasn’t stepped foot in the MMA cage since 2021. He won that fight by second-round stoppage and most recently fought to a split draw in a boxing match in July of this year. Silva has fought under the Bellator and PFL banners in the past.

The new main event is a battle between local favorite Dario Sinagoga, who takes on Ashton Charlton.

Ali Wasuk will take on the always-exciting Josh Kwiatkowski in the evening’s co-main event.

Jamie Siraj was hoping to stamp his ticket to the UFC, however, arch-nemesis Ryan Rohovich was forced out of the fight and taken to the hospital after a rough weight cut.

Undercard title fights

Two titles are up for grabs on the preliminary card, as Keez Huisman takes on Valentine Bulat for the amateur bantamweight championship. Also on the undercard is a battle for the amateur welterweight championship with undefeated Adam Posener takes on Javier Gill.
