ONE Friday Fights 46 will help bring 2023 to a close. ONE Championship announced on Wednesday that the highly-anticipated featherweight Muay Thai bout between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon Singha Mawynn would be moved to the December 22nd event. The battle for the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship will headline the action in Bangkok, Thailand.

Tawanchai vs Superbon Rebooked for December

The title tilt was initially scheduled for ONE Fight Night 15 but was pushed due to an injury to Superbon. After being set to headline ONE Fight Night 17, Tawanchai became ill, forcing the bout to move yet again. Now, with both men healthy, the new December 22nd date is a go.

Tawanchai is on a remarkable six-bout winning streak. In that streak, he claimed the gold from Petchmorakot Petchyindee and defended the title against Jamal Yusupov. Four of those victories ended by KO/TKO, proving the Thai’s sensational finishing abilities.

After losing the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title, Superbon returned with a Knockout of the Year contender against Tayfun Ozcan. The slick head kick knockout wowed audiences at ONE Fight Night 11 and put him back in the hunt. The move to four-ounce gloves could make the former kickboxitng king even more deadly inside the ring.

Tawanchai vs. Superbon could be the year’s most spectacular striking matchup. It is already making ONE Friday Fights 46 a must-watch event. The featherweight showdown joins Phetjeeja vs. Anissa Meksen on the December 22nd card, making it the best way to sign off for 2023.

ONE Friday Fights 46 emanates from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. The event will air live and free on ONE’s YouTube channel. The action begins at 7:30 a.m. ET/4:30 a.m. PT.
