Johan Ghazali has been sensational since coming to ONE Championship. However, the most impressive thing about the American is not that he is unbeaten in ONE action. It is that he is unbeaten while being just 16-years-old.
The talented teen reeled off four wins on ONE Friday Fights in 2023. After the fourth win, “Jojo” was informed he would be coming up to U.S. primetime for his next bout. ONE announced Ghazali would take on Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 17 in a flyweight Muay Thai contest.
Muay Thai Scrap Added to ONE Fight Night 17
Tabares will be looking for redemption when he returns to ONE. The former WBC International Muay Thai World Champion debuted against Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE Fight Night 10 and lost by knockout. He returned against Elias Mahmoudi and did not get a better result.

The matchup will be a stern test for both men. Ghazali gets to test himself against another strong global athlete who has fought on bigger stages, and Tabares meets one of the fastest-rising stars in Muay Thai. Their ships will cross inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on December 8th.
“Jojo” will turn 17 this weekend. The American will get to achieve global acclaim before ever turning 18. As he continues to mature and improve his skills, Ghazali hopes to be one of the key pieces to growing the sport of Muay Thai in the United States.
