The PFL finals event went down last night live from Washington, D.C. The event featured six, million-dollar title fights, a pair of featured bouts as well as three other fights.

The two featured bouts of the night saw Kayla Harrison return to winning ways after losing her last bout in last year’s finals event. Derek Brunson made a successful PFL debut, defeating Ray Cooper III by decision and proceeded to call out Jake Paul.

The Finals Results

In the finals, Peru’s Jesus Pinedo continued his impressive season by knocking out Gabriel Braga in the third round. This season, he’s scored three knockouts over last year’s champion, Brendan Loughnane, Bubba Jenkins and now Braga. His successes are certainly going under the radar.

Impa Kasanganay also continued his Cinderella story by becoming the light heavyweight champion by dominant decision. Kasanganay spoke to MMASucka prior to his PFL debut, outlining his intention to win the million dollars. You can find the full interview below. Following the bout, he called out both Francis Ngannou and Vadim Nemkov, a brilliant move by the 29-year-old American showing he wants all the smoke!

Magomed Magomedkerimov stopped Sadibou Sy from becoming a two-time PFL world champion. He fininshed him by guillotine in the third round. It’s the second time Magomedkerimov has defeated Sy and it appears that he’s the Swede’s kryptonite. The Russian then faced off with new Bellator welterweight champion, Jason Jackson ahead of a champion vs. champion bout.

Larissa Pacheco became the first ever two-weight PFL work champion, winning  back-to-back seasons by defeating the game Marina Mokhnatkina via decision. Pacheco has seemingly set up a fight with Bellator featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg, which could be huge!

Renan Ferreira defeated Denis Goltsov via TKO in the second round of their heavyweight finals. Ferreira extended his knockout run to three straight and will seemingly be the man to welcome Francis Ngannou to the PFL for The Predator‘s promotional debut next year.

In the main event, Olivier Aubin-Mercier went back-to-back in the lightweight division to cement himself as the best lightweight in the PFL. Last year he knocked out Stevie Ray in the final and this year, he dominated Clay Collard via decision. The two-time champion will now likely clash with Usman Nurmagomedov, the Bellator 155lbs champion.
