One of the reasons UFC is the number 1 organization in MMA by far, is the simple fact that they can scout elite level talent and obtain so many exciting athletes. Another one like that came into the UFC, in the name of Bekzat Almakhan, a Kazakh phenom.
Bekzat is a 26-year-old fighter, represented by the RUBYSE talent agency, which is constantly growing their roster of elite level fighters. Kazakh boasts a professional record of 17-1, with 13 wins coming by way of KO/TKO. he seems to be a head kick specialist, as he’s got multiple knockouts via high kick.

All in all, Bekzat hails from Triumph Fights gym, which is based in the country’s largest city – Almaty. He competed in arguably the best regional promotion for Kazakhstan fighters – Octagon and even fought once in the UAE Warriors, which was recently shown to be a great starting point for many of the high potential fighters.
Dagestan MMA Takeover Happened, but is it Time for Kazakhstan to do it Now?
We’ve all witnessed the most enigmatic era of fighting in recent years, when it came to solving the puzzle of great fighters hailing from Dagestan. Most of them came from the now-legendary school of MMA in Makhachkala, built by the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Dagestan was known for decades to have a rich history in wrestling, having multiple world and Olympic wrestling champions. With a population of 3 million, it’s safe to say that is an incredible feat – to have so many elite athletes. Just a different breed of human beings, with an intriguing culture and lifestyle.
When it comes to captivating cultures – Kazakhstan is up there with the most fascinating ones. Many of the Kazakh fighters are the descendants of the Mongol warriors who used to rule Euro-Asia and basically the whole Eastern world. Nomads, riding horses and waging wars, never settling. Fighting is absolutely in their blood.
Lately, we’re seeing more and more fighters from this region come to the most elite level organizations and start having success. Most notably, Shavkat Rakhmonov, who is something unusual, a thing like we’ve never seen before.
Kazakhstan has a population of around 20 million people and with the compelling background of those people and fighters – we are sure to have another takeover in the MMA world. Time is on their side. Bekzat Almakhan is a part of it.
Daniel Rubebenstein and His Growing MMA Talent Agency
Giving a shout out to RUBYSE and the management’s owner Daniel Rubenstein. The agency boasts a great roster of fighters throughout the world and all of the strongest MMA organizations.
Just in the UFC, they have fighters under their umbrella such as: the newly crowned Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis, the above mentioned finisher of all finishers Shavkat Rakhmonov, super talented Lightweight contenders Rafael Fiziev and Arman Tsarukyan, then veterans like Joane Wood, Michael Chiesa, then Movsar Evloev, former champ Petr Yan etc.
RUBY Sports & Entertainment seems to have a great eye for Kazakhstan’s finest talents, as Shavkat Rakhmonov, Azat Maksum and now Bekzat Almakhan are all UFC athletes.
