On March 16th in Lubin, FEN will hold its 53th event. Originally the FEN welterweight championship was at stake in the main event, but it was stripped from Oleksiejczuk after his loss to Alibeg Rasulov outside the promotion.

Cezary Oleksiejczuk vs. Bauyrzhan Kuanyshbayev

Cezary Oleksiejczuk (12-3) will try to bounce back from an unexpected loss he suffered in Turkey. During Khan Fight 3, the younger of the Oleksiejczuk brothers had to acknowledge the superiority of Alibeg Rasulov, to whom he lost by unanimous decision. FEN reacted to the fighter’s loss outside the promotion by stripping him of the welterweight championship title. Therefore, the championship title will not be at stake in Saturday’s match.

Previously, Oleksiejczuk boasted an impressive streak of nine victories. In November 2021, he defeated Aigun Akhmedov and won the aforementioned FEN welterweight title. He successfully defended the title three times.

In Lubin, the 24-year-old will face Kuanyshbayev (16-5). The Kazakh was supposed to be Oleksiejczuk’s opponent at FEN 51 in October of last year. However, visa issues prevented him from flying to Poland. His place on the fight card was taken by Chris Fishgold. Now, there are no such problems, and the Karagandy fighter is ready for the match. Kuanyshbayev is riding a wave of three victories. Out of his 14 wins, he has finished 10 fights before the final bell.

Other matches on the card:

In other bouts, fans will see, among others, Mateusz Janura (7-6), who will square off against Łukasz Stank (11-7), and the fueled by his recent victory Gracjan Misio (2-2), who will face Patryk Likus (3-3).

Additionally, the middleweight category fights promise to be interesting, where Tomasz Ostrowski (3-1) will face Mateusz Sosnowski (5-1), and in the lightweight category, there will be a confrontation between Damian Rzepecki (6-0) and Giorgi Esiava (7-2).

Starting with this event, FEN has decided to utilize open scoring.
