CFFC 131 Results: Forest vs Varricchio

Cage Fury Fighting Championships kicks off its year with a thrilling fight card in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Despite injuries sidelining two title fights, the remaining bouts at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Etess Arena promise intense action. Prelims stream exclusively on CFFC’s OnlyFans at 7:00 PM ET, with the main card shifting to UFC Fight Pass at 9:00 PM ET.

Main Card Fights Pack Title Stakes

The main event features a clash of undefeated lightweight prospects as Tiger Schulmann Martial Arts’ Robert Varricchio (5-0, 3 CFFC wins) faces Top Brother MMA’s Morquez Forest (4-0, all CFFC wins) for the CFFC Interim Lightweight Title.

In a change from the normal fight card structure, the co-main event features a title fight ahead of an interim title as CFFC Heavyweight Champion, Greg Velasco, defends his belt against promotional newcomer, Bailey Schoenfelder. This marks Velasco’s first fight since his appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Rest of the main card sets the stage for the year:

  • Featherweight: Anthony Dilemme, initially slated for an Interim Featherweight Title bout, now faces returning contender Wendel Araujo, who drops back to featherweight for the first time since October 2023.
  • Bantamweight: Former champion Vilson Ndregjoni takes on rising star Mark Grey. A win for Grey could propel him towards a title shot.
  • Welterweight: Eric Nolan and Kevin Pease were initially on a collision course for the vacant CFFC Welterweight Championship. Despite Alonzo Turner upsetting that plan by defeating Nolan last December, the stage could still be set for the Nolan vs. Pease showdown. If both fighters win their current bouts, this matchup could become a reality.
