Anthony Pettis FC 11: Fight Fiesta Results

The 11th installment of Anthony Pettis Fighting Championships (APFC) comes your way on Saturday, May 25, with a jam-packed slate of fights taking place from the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The main event will see former Bellator title challenger Emmanuel Sanchez take on another wily veteran in Peter Petties.

Fight fans can catch APFC 11: Fight Fiesta streaming live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Main Event — Sanchez vs. Petties

With his Bellator career having run its course, Sanchez has been forced to build momentum on the regional scene. The Milwaukee native flamed out of the promotion after challenging for the Bellator featherweight crown on a five-fight losing skid, but since got back in the win column at an XFC show. Sanchez is a grappler by nature, but has the experience to bring an all-around MMA game to the cage as well as experience fighting five hard rounds.

Petties lacks such experience, but has been around the block a few times himself. Earlier in his career, he appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series, losing to UFC veteran Julio Arce by way of second-round TKO. That blemish aside, Petties has gone to decision in each of his last nine MMA bouts following the Arce defeat. With Sanchez as tough as they come, it seems likely this main event fight will see the judges’ scorecards after three hard rounds.

Rest of the Card

Sanchez and Petties figure to be two of the most traveled veterans on this weekend’s APFC card, with intriguing fights between regional prospects slated to file in behind them. Garrett Carlson takes on Danny Morales Jr. in the co-main event in a battle of four-win welterweights. Angelo Pettis, 19, cousin of Anthony and Sergio Pettis, is also slated for main card action when he takes on Alex Mosier.

Meanwhile, Cub Hawkins will open the main card against Tyler Veal in a battle of two bantamweight fighters who have displayed early flashes of potential early on in their respective careers.
